Design Inspiration:
A talisman ring of Night and Day.
It characterises ancient Egyptian mythology about Apep and Ra.
Apep, evil snake god of darkness, is the greatest enemy of Ra, the sun-god, King of the Gods represented by a golden pearl. Tales of the sun’s nightly battles against the forces of darkness were reported with the snake trying to swallow and extinguish the sun.
The wearer of this ring is reminded that good (light) triumphs over evil (darkness) as the sun rises each day presenting fresh starts, new challenges, renewing hope and opportunities.
Also, the Snake symbolically eating its own tail is associated with an everlasting cycle, day follows night follows day etc, for eternity. This never-ending war is stabilised by the pearl which is claimed to be linked with the Egyptian goddess of healing and life.
